Euroseas Extends M/V Jonathan P Charter at $26,000/Day
Euroseas announced a time charter contract extension for its 2006-built 1,740 teu feeder containership, M/V Jonathan P, for a minimum period of 24 to a maximum period of 26 months, at the option of the charterer, at a gross daily rate of $26,000. The new period will commence at the end of October, following the completion of the vessel's scheduled dry-dock, and will run in direct continuation of the current charter contract.

Aristides Pittas, Chairman and CEO of Euroseas, commented: "We are pleased to report financial results for the second quarter of 2026 at par with the first quarter of the year, making these two of our most profitable consecutive quarters of the last fifteen years. Solid contracts at highly profitable rates, combined with low drydocking expenses, as in the previous quarter, were the main factors supporting our strong financial results."
Euroseas Announces Construction of Two New Container Vessels
Euroseas announced that it has declared its options for the construction of two additional modern fuel-efficient, gearless 1,800 teu container vessels to be built at Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering in China. The vessels are scheduled to be delivered in December of 2028 and March of 2029. The total consideration for each vessel is approximately $32.26M and will be financed with a combination of debt and equity.

Euroseas announced charter contract extensions for its 2024-built 1,800 teu feeder containerships, M/V Stephania K and M/V Pepi Star, for a minimum period of 24 to a maximum period of 26 months, at the option of the charterer, at a gross daily rate of $25,500. The new charter periods will commence on July 28, 2026 and August 19, 2026, respectively, in direct continuation of the present charter contracts.

Reports Q1 revenue $55.8M, consensus $56.9M. The company operated an average of 21 vessels during the first quarter, earning an average time charter equivalent rate of $30,354 per day. "We are pleased to report the financial results for one of the most profitable quarters of the last fifteen years," said CEO Aristides Pittas.
