U.S. Stock Futures Weaker, Nasdaq Down 0.63%
Stock futures are pointing to a weaker open as the market comes off a losing week for all three major indexes, with technology stocks particularly pressured by the recent rise in Treasury yields.A catalyst this week is Nvidia's earnings on Wednesday. Nvidia shares have already declined for five consecutive sessions, while some of its customers have reportedly been told that AI server prices could rise by more than 15% because of higher memory costs. The Federal Reserve is another major focus, with Fed Chair Kevin Warsh scheduled to speak Friday at the Jackson Hole symposium. Investors will be looking for clues about the Fed's rate path after recent inflation data came in relatively benign, but the labor market has weakened. At the same time, the bond market has become a source of concern. The 30-year Treasury yield reached roughly 5.34% last week, its highest level in about 19 years, putting additional pressure on growth stocks. The week's economic calendar also includes July PCE inflation data on Wednesday. The U.S. is preparing new economic sanctions targeting Iran's trade partners, with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent expected to provide details. Oil prices have pulled back despite the escalating tensions. There is also a new U.S.-Canada trade dispute to watch after trade negotiations broke down, adding another source of uncertainty for companies with significant North American supply chains and sales exposure. In pre-market trading, S&P 500 futures fell 0.20%, Nasdaq futures fell 0.63% and Dow futures fell 0.11%.Check out this morning's top movers from around Wall Street, compiled by The Fly.HIGHER -Erascaup 3% after reporting the FDA has granted Fast Track Designation to ERAS-0015UP AFTER EARNINGS -Napco Securityup 19%PDD Holdingsup 3%DOWN AFTER EARNINGS -Gogorodown 10%XPengdown 4%LOWER -Regenxbiodown 20% after the FDA placed a clinical hold on RGX-121 following the discovery of asymptomatic spine MRI findings in five participants in the CAMPSIITE studyCanada Goosedown 5% after Wells Fargo double downgraded the stock to Underweight from Overweight with a price target of C$10, down from C$16Alibabadown 1% after announcing the pricing of its HK$80B placing of 710,000,000 newly issued ordinary shares of the company to non-U.S. persons outside the United States, at a placing price of HK$112.70 per placement share
Erasca Receives FDA Fast Track Designation for ERAS-0015
Erasca announced that the FDA has granted Fast Track Designation to ERAS-0015 for the treatment of patients with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma. ERAS-0015 is an oral, highly potent pan-RAS molecular glue designed to inhibit RAS signaling with a potential best-in-class profile.
Erasca Advances ERAS-0015 Clinical Trials
"Our mission is to deliver novel precision therapies that address unmet needs across a broad range of RAS-driven cancers, and we believe the encouraging early findings for ERAS-0015 represent an important step toward realizing that goal," said Jonathan E. Lim, Erasca's chairman, CEO, and co-founder. "Updated clinical data from our U.S. trial further bolster our excitement for advancing ERAS-0015, with compelling monotherapy activity in 2L+ KRAS G12X pancreatic cancer, previously disclosed encouraging data in 2L+ KRAS G12X lung cancer, sustained tolerability with longer follow-up, and promising combination potential. Our recent financing should position us to accelerate ERAS-0015 toward three potentially registration-enabling trials while maintaining momentum across our broader pipeline, including the upcoming ERAS-4001 clinical data readout expected later this year. We are entering our next phase of growth with significant momentum across our RAS-targeting franchise and an exciting path toward multiple pipeline catalysts."

WTI Crude Oil Price Jumps About 10% to $80
Fast-unraveling ceasefire between Iran and U.S. amid continued dispute over the control of transit through the Strait of Hormuz has reverberated across the asset classes in a predictable fashion on Monday. WTI Crude Oil spiked about 10% toward $80 per barrel - the highest level in nearly a month - as traders repriced the assumption of US-Iran truce. In turn the higher inflation expectations feedback loop punished the Treasury markets across the curve, with the benchmark 10-year yield topping 4.6% for the first time since late May and CME FedWatch tool showing swaps markets repricing the probability of a Fed rate hike as soon as this month at a near coin flip. Higher funding costs then weighed on the large-cap growth areas of the equity market, with AI-buildout positive sectors - i.e. semiconductors, semiconductor equipment, hardware, and communications stocks - punished and the more-defensively geared Utilities and Consumer Staples being rewarded. Energy, which is still the best performing sector in the S&P 500 this year, also saw outsized gains as the best performing sector in the index, with State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETFrising 3% to its best level in a month. In the opening hour of the evening session, S&P e-minis, and NASDAQ 100 contracts remain under pressure with declines of 0.2% and 0.3% respectively. WTI Crude Oil remains bid just shy of $79 per barrel. Elsewhere in commodities, gold and silver futures are trading near two-week lows as the U.S. dollar continues to benefit from expectations of higher short-term rates.Check out this evening's top movers from around Wall Street, compiled by The Fly.HIGHER -Lulu's Fashion Loungeup 27.9% after announcing review of strategic alternativesVision Marine Technologiesup 19.1% after Q3 pre-announcementTrex Companyup 6.1% after above-consensus revenue pre-announcementCentrus Energyup 2.0% After being initiated at buy at TruistWeatherfordup 2.0% on considered re-domestication from Ireland to DelawareDOWN AFTER EARNINGS -FB Financialdown 1.0%ALSO LOWER -MBX Biosciencesdown 7.6% after announcing leadership transitionPenguin Solutionsdown 6.2% after announcing a convertible note offeringUnited Maritimedown 3.4% after equity offeringErascadown 1.8% after equity offering
