Carpenter Technology Approves Additional $1B Share Repurchase Program

Carpenter Technology announced that its Board of Directors has authorized an additional share repurchase program of up to $1B of the company's outstanding common stock. In August, the company repurchased the remaining $119M of shares available under its previously authorized $400M share repurchase program.

Carpenter Technology CEO Brian Malloy Passes Away Unexpectedly

Carpenter Technology announced that Brian Malloy, the company's president and CEO, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, July 24. Tony Thene, the company's executive chairman, has been appointed by the board of directors to return in his capacity as CEO effective immediately. Thene previously held the position of CEO of Carpenter Technology from 2015 through June 2026. Thene will also continue as chairman.
