Chiron CEO Highlights Progress in Capital Allocation and Investments
Mark Decker, Jr., Chief Executive Officer and President stated, "When we outlined our priorities earlier this year, we committed to active capital allocation, portfolio repositioning, and building the capabilities necessary to support our next phase of growth. Chiron Appoints Matthew Whitlock as Chief Investment Officer
Chiron Real Estate announced the appointment of Matthew Whitlock as Chief Investment Officer, effective August 3, 2026. Mr. Whitlock will lead the Company's investment activities, with responsibility for sourcing, structuring, and executing senior housing investments, cultivating strategic partnerships, and helping guide the continued growth of Chiron's senior housing platform. "We are excited to welcome Matthew to Chiron as our Chief Investment Officer," said Mark Decker, Jr., Chief Executive Officer and President. "Matthew has spent three decades in senior housing and has built deep relationships with many of the leading owners, operators, developers, and capital providers across the industry. Just as importantly, he understands the business from virtually every angle, including acquisitions, development, debt, equity, and the capital markets. Matthew's relationships, institutional knowledge, judgment, and experience will be invaluable as we position Chiron for our next phase of growth. I am incredibly excited to have his insight at our Company and the opportunity to work with him as we build this business." In connection with Mr. Whitlock's appointment, the Company's current Chief Investment Officer, Alfonzo Leon, has transitioned to the role of Strategic Advisor through December 31, 2026.
Chiron Real Estate Appoints New Executives
In a regulatory filing, the company stated, "Effective July 16, 2026, Robert "Bobby" Zeiller was appointed as Chief Development Officer and Head of Seniors Housing of Chiron Real Estate and Inter-American Management, and Aaron Roseth was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of the company and IAM. In connection with these appointments, Danica Holley transitioned from Chief Operating Officer to Chief Administrative Officer of the Company and IAM, effective July 16, 2026. Prior to joining the company, Roseth served for more than two decades at ESG Architecture & Design, including as President and Chief Executive Officer during the last ten years of his tenure, where he led the firm's expansion from a predominantly regional practice into a national platform."
Chiron Real Estate Appoints New Executive Team
Chiron Real Estate announced the appointments of Robert "Bobby" Zeiller as Chief Development Officer and Head of Seniors Housing and Aaron Roseth as Chief Operating Officer, effective July 16, 2026. In connection with these appointments, Danica Holley, the Company's current Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed Chief Administrative Officer. The appointments further strengthen Chiron's leadership team as the Company advances its mission to deliver value at the intersection of care, capital, and real estate. The Company has also announced that Tami Cumings, former Chief Operating Officer of Silverstone Senior Living, has joined Chiron as the Company's Senior Vice President of Seniors Housing. Working closely with Mr. Zeiller, Ms. Cumings will bring more than 30 years of operating experience to provide strategic guidance on operator relationships, portfolio performance, capital planning, and asset-level value creation initiatives across the Company's growing senior housing portfolio. "We are excited to welcome Bobby, Aaron, and Tami to Chiron and to recognize Danica's continued leadership through her appointment as Chief Administrative Officer," said Mark Decker, Jr., Chief Executive Officer and President. Chiron Real Estate Sells Seven Rehab Facilities for $217M
Chiron Real Estate has completed a sale of seven inpatient rehabilitation facilities to a joint venture between the Company and a U.S. public pension fund advised by a global real estate investment management firm. The initial portfolio of IRFs was valued at an aggregate $217M. The transaction was structured through a JV in which an investor acquired an 85% equity interest. Chiron retained a 15% equity stake and is the manager of the JV, continuing to oversee asset management in exchange for a management fee. The assets sold to the joint venture comprise an aggregate 456,000 square feet and are 100% leased with a weighted average remaining lease term of eight years. The Company intends to utilize proceeds from this transaction to fund its pipeline of higher return on capital investments, which includes the previously announced acquisition of the Pinnacle North Bethesda for a purchase price of approximately $176M. The closing of the Pinnacle is expected to occur on or before October 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and purchase price adjustments. The Pinnacle is a 282,000 square foot, 175-home luxury seniors housing community with ground floor retail. Located in North Bethesda adjacent to Pike & Rose and within the new Pike District, the Pinnacle offers independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
