Twin Hospitality Group Appoints Andy Wiederhorn as CEO
Twin Hospitality Group announced the appointment of Andy Wiederhorn as CEO, following the termination of CEO Kim Boerema. Additionally, Roger Gondek, currently COO of Twin Peaks Restaurant, will also assume the role of President of Twin Peaks Restaurant while continuing in his COO responsibilities. Wiederhorn, who was integral in spinning out Twin Peaks and Smokey Bones into Twin Hospitality Group Inc., has served as Chairman of the Board since August 2025.

Twin Hospitality Group Signs Agreement to Open Three Twin Peaks Lodges in Connecticut
Twin Hospitality Group has signed a new area development agreement to bring its signature Twin Peaks sports lodge experience to Connecticut. The agreement marks Twin Peaks' debut in the state and includes development rights for three future lodges across key markets, including New Haven, Hartford, Danbury, Stamford/Bridgeport, and Waterbury. The new lodges will be developed by New London Hospitality, led by business partners Deepak Verma and Kam Singh, both seasoned entrepreneurs with extensive experience in the hospitality space and multi-unit operations.
Noble Capital Downgrades Twin Hospitality to Market Perform Amid Debt Acceleration Concerns
Noble Capital analyst Joe Gomes downgraded Twin Hospitality (TWNP) to Market Perform from Outperform after Twin and parent company FAT Brands (FAT) disclosed on November 17 that they received notices of acceleration from UMB with respect to Securitization Notes. While the firm views the issue to be capital structure related, and not related to operating performance, it is unclear how the debt acceleration impacts the conversions of Smokey Bones locations into company-owned Twin Peaks and the firm expects the recently announced proposed acquisition of eight franchisee locations to be on hold.
Twin Hospitality set to purchase eight Twin Peaks franchise locations in Florida
Twin Hospitality has entered into a letter of intent to acquire eight Twin Peaks franchised restaurants in Florida from DMD Ventures for approximately $47M in cash. The strategic transaction represents an opportunistic investment in a key growth market even as the Company's long-term focus remains on franchise driven expansion. The acquisition will bring the following Florida locations to company ownership: Davie, Fort Myers, West Palm Beach, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Cypress Creek, Doral and Naples. Upon completion, the transaction is expected to contribute approximately $76M-$77M in annual revenue and $9M-$10M in additional annual EBITDA. The transaction is expected to close in Q1 2026, and is subject to completion of a definitive purchase agreement, financing and customary closing conditions.
