Toast Launches New Platform Toast Fuel Connecting Fuel and Retail
Toast announced Toast Fuel, a new set of capabilities for fuel operators and convenience stores. With Toast Fuel, operators can run fuel payments, both in-store and at the pump, alongside retail and foodservice on a single, connected platform. Convenience stores sell an estimated 80% of the fuel purchased by consumers in the United States, according to the National Association of Convenience Stores. Many of those convenience store operators run their in-store retail and fuel businesses on two disconnected systems, and have had little access to the cloud-based tools that have helped reshape restaurants and retailers over the past decade. At the same time, convenience stores increasingly operate like quick-service restaurants, pairing made-to-order food, digital ordering, and loyalty programs with traditional fuel and retail sales. As that convergence accelerates, Toast, which already serves a large base of retail and restaurant operators, is extending its proven cloud-native platform to the forecourt, bringing pump control onto the same system already powering the store, so fuel, retail, payments, foodservice, marketing, inventory, and team management run in one place.

Major Averages Rebound, S&P 500 Up 0.46%
The major averages closed broadly higher, rebounding from yesterday's declines as investors continue to react to escalating tensions between the U.S. and Iran, rising oil prices, and a jump in Treasury yields. Renewed U.S.-Iran fighting has raised concerns about disruptions to energy supplies and pushed inflation expectations higher, creating a difficult backdrop for both stocks and bonds.Meanwhile, ADP showed 38,000 private-sector jobs were added in August, a slower-than-expected pace. While job creation held positive, August was the smallest gain since January.Additionally, the Federal Reserve said in its latest Beige Book report that economic activity has increased "modestly" since July, adding that employment rose "very slightly overall."Get caught up quickly on the top news and calls moving stocks with these five Top Five lists.1.
