Morgan Stanley Cuts Comcast Price Target to $27

Comcastreports fiscal third quarter results on Thursday, October 22, while Skydanceis expected to announced earnings on Monday, November 9. Here's what could move the stocks:OUTLOOK:Comcast is expected to deliver third quarter EPS 98c on revenue of $29.21B, and Skydance 19c on $7.02B.STOCK ACTION:Comcast shares are down almost 5% over the past month, and Skydance about 23%.VOLATILITY TO PERSIST:Bernstein's Laurent Yoon cut Skydance's target to $6 from $12, keeping an Underperform rating on the name, citing ongoing uncertainty around synergies, free cash flow, leverage, and the balance sheet. The firm says the long‑term opportunity is meaningful, but the story remains a "show me" one with notable execution risk.SPACEX PRESSURE:Yoon also lowered Comcast's target to $23 from $28 and maintained a Market Perform rating on the stock, pointing to sustained pressure from SpaceX'spush into broadband and wireless, compounded by recent pricing moves and typical Q4 seasonality.Morgan Stanley's Sean Diffley trimmed Equal Weight-rated Comcast's target to $27 from $29, noting that AI agents helping customers reduce monthly bills have become a bigger investor concern than SpaceX and Starlink. The analyst sees wireless better positioned than cable given stronger satisfaction scores and more favorable pricing.
