Roivant Reports Q1 Revenue of $1.44M, Below Consensus

Reports Q1 revenue $1.44M, consensus $2.34M. "This quarter has been a moment of relative quiet between our incredibly busy last twelve months and our even busier year ahead," said Matt Gline, CEO of Roivant. "Our teams are deep in preparation for the potential launch of brepocitinib in dermatomyositis, we have enrolled the first patients in a new Phase 3 trial in cutaneous sarcoidosis, and we expect topline readouts from our NIU, PH-ILD and CLE studies before year end. We remain focused on delivering for patients across each of these programs, and if we are successful across even some of these endeavors, we will look radically different on the other side."

Arbutus Files Lawsuits to Protect LNP Technology Patents

Arbutus Biopharma (ABUS) and its exclusive licensee, Genevant Sciences, a subsidiary of Roivant (ROIV), announced the filing of three international lawsuits seeking to enforce patents protecting their innovative LNP technology against Pfizer (PFE), BioNTech (BNTX) and certain of their affiliates. Arbutus and Genevant are seeking monetary relief, as well as injunctions against Pfizer/BioNTech's mRNA-LNP COVID-19 vaccines and any other products that would infringe the asserted patents. The UPC actions seek relief for: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden. These actions expand on Arbutus and Genevant's ongoing enforcement proceeding in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, seeking fair compensation for Pfizer/BioNTech's infringement of five U.S. patents in the manufacture and sale of Pfizer/BioNTech's mRNA-LNP COVID-19 vaccines.
