Royal Gold Reports Q2 Revenue of $450.5M
Reports Q2 revenue $450.5M, consensus $452.78M. "Financial results for the second quarter were strong and we made meaningful progress on executing our priorities," commented Bill Heissenbuttel, President and CEO of Royal Gold. "We continued our disciplined approach to capital allocation. We repaid debt, repurchased and cancelled shares, and invested capital toward our Warintza and Hod Maden portfolio interests. We also continued progress on simplifying the Sandstorm portfolio with the restructuring of the Hod Maden joint venture interest and the settlement of the fixed delivery obligations at the Relief Canyon mine. After a solid first half of the year driven by our large and diversified portfolio, our outlook for the second half remains positive, and we will maintain our discipline and long term focus as we consider alternatives to accretively deploy capital in an active environment for new business development opportunities."
Royal Gold Approves $500M Share Repurchase Program
On May 4, the board approved a $500M share repurchase program under which it may purchase shares from time to time through open market purchases or by other means. The manner, timing, pricing and amount of any repurchases will be subject to management's discretion and may be based upon market conditions and alternative opportunities for the use or investment of capital. Although the board has authorized the share repurchase program, the company is not obligated to repurchase any specific dollar amount or to acquire any specific number of shares under the program. This program is intended to be used in those circumstances when we believe there is a significant difference between the market value of Royal Gold shares and what management believes is the intrinsic value and outlook for the company.
Royal Gold Reports Q1 Revenue of $469.1M
Reports Q1 revenue $469.1M, consensus $476.35M. "The record first quarter results reflect the transformative activities we undertook in 2025," commented Bill Heissenbuttel, CEO of Royal Gold. "We added significant scale and growth potential to our portfolio and the contributions from the new interests combined with our legacy portfolio and strong metal prices drove substantial increases in revenue, cash flow and earnings. We have a long record of successful capital allocation and growing per share value, and we have added two new tools that provide flexibility to add further value in the future depending on market conditions."
Royal Gold 2026 Sales Guidance: Silver Sales 3M-3.5M oz
Sees silver sales 3M-3.5M oz. Sees copper sales 21M-25M lbs. Sees other metal sales $34M-$38M. The company said, "Sales guidance for 2026 is provided on a sales volume basis to provide transparency and avoid the effect of volatile commodity prices in the conversion of revenue to gold equivalent ounces. Sales volume for stream interests represents physical metal sold, and sales volume for royalty interests represents royalty revenue received divided by the average metal price for the relevant period. Gold, silver and copper are expected to provide the majority of 2026 revenue. We expect the midpoints of our 2026 sales volumes to be 32%, 8% and 40% higher for gold, silver and copper, respectively, than actual sales volumes in 2025. Sales from Other Metals are expected to be relatively minor and the range provided assumes 2026 prices of $7.30/lb for nickel, $1.35/lb for zinc, and $0.91/lb for lead, which are the metals that are expected to provide most of this component of sales. Sales volumes are expected to be split approximately 48%/52% between the first half and second half of 2026. The 2026 sales guidance is determined based on a review of confidential information and production forecasts provided to Royal Gold from certain operating counterparties, and publicly available production forecasts for those interests where Royal Gold does not have rights to receive confidential information. Certain of these third-party forecasts have been adjusted by Royal Gold based on management's experience.'
