The same strategy—why do some people see +20% while others might only see +8%? Because what you follow isn’t a static return curve, but a series of trades that only happen from the moment you join. Pure calculation example: A strategy first drops 10%, then rises 20% from the low. A joins before the drop: 100 → 90 → 108, ending at +8%. B joins after the drop: 100 → 120, ending at +20%. Same strategy, different entry time, different path actually experienced. So when viewing strategies on OWL, I don’t directly treat the author’s full historical cumulative return as something a new joiner can replicate. I also look at the current holdings at the time of joining, entry price, available funds, and fees and slippage. The real question is: “From the moment I join, which rules will start to apply?” The above is a calculation example, does not represent actual strategy performance, and is not investment advice.

Misunderstanding in $ORCL force majeure notice to $OWL developer entity regarding the massive 2.45 GW Project Jupiter campus in New Mexico Oracle issued the notice to secure the legal right to delay lease or rental payments if the facility fails to meet its 2028 operational target. It is not attempting to exit the lease or abandon its status as the anchor tenant. The primary triggers for the notice are severe delays in securing grid interconnection and local permitting hurdles, including pending environmental decisions and local opposition over fuel cell air quality permits. Project Jupiter's operational target date was set for 3Q27. The 2028 deadline functions as the contractual long-stop date. Crossing that date would force Oracle to make lease payments without an operational data center generating revenue. The force majeure filing simply allows Oracle to pause its payment obligations to Blue Owl until power and facilities are delivered, protecting cash flow while internal timelines compress. Note: Oracle reiterated that the project's timeline adjustments will not impact its FY27 revs or earnings guidance.

$OWL Blue Owl Capital became ground zero, a central figure and the poster child in the recent private credit risk storm. I wouldn’t touch this stock with a 10-ft pole.
