Mainz Biomed Renames to Quantum Cyber, Changes Ticker to QUCY
Mainz Biomed, doing business as Quantum Cyber, announced, effective upon the commencement of trading on March 12, it officially changed its ticker symbol to "QUCY" on the Nasdaq Capital Market. Further the Company's name will change to Quantum Cyber effective with a general meeting of shareholders planned for April 2026. The corporate name change and stock ticker symbol change reflect the Company's business strategy and better reflect the future operations, which will include a shift toward quantum computing and cybersecurity-oriented offerings.
Mainz Biomed Appoints Robert Liscouski as Chairman and Renames to Quantum Cyber
Mainz Biomed announced that Robert Liscouski has been appointed Chairman of its Board of Directors. Further, the Company announced that it plans to change its name to Quantum Cyber and change its Nasdaq ticker symbol to QUCY, beginning on March 12, 2026. The permanent election of Liscouski and the change of Company name will become effective at the Company's extraordinary general meeting, being planned for April 2026. The Company will begin doing business as Quantum Cyber and trading under the symbol QUCY beginning on March 12, 2026.
Mainz Biomed Signs $6M Financing Agreement
Mainz Biomed announced a series of strategic transactions designed to strengthen its liquidity position, transition the business to a focus on its pancreatic cancer detection program in the U.S., and provide flexibility as the Company continues its operations while evaluating growth opportunities and broader strategic alternatives. On February 13, 2026, Mainz Biomed entered into a securities purchase agreement for a $6M private placement with investor David Lazar. The financing will be completed in two tranches of $3M each through the issuance of Convertible Non-Redeemable Preferred Stock. The first $3M closing was completed on February 13, 2026. The second $3M n closing is expected to occur following receipt of required stockholder approvals and prior to April 15, 2026. Net proceeds from the private placement are expected to be used to fund ongoing operations, address outstanding liabilities, and preserve the Company's ability to operate while it pursues strategic initiatives. In conjunction with the financing the Company named David Lazar as Chairman of the Board of Directors. As the Company transitions its focus on developing its pancreatic cancer screening business in the U.S., it will continue to evaluate opportunities to sell its colorectal cancer screening assets while it also winds down its German subsidiary. The Company is currently in discussions with several parties interested in its colorectal cancer assets. This allows the Company to significantly reduce its operating expenses and extend its runway.
Mainz Biomed Reviews 2025 Achievements and Future Outlook
Mainz Biomed reviewed its major accomplishments for the year ended December 31, 2025. "I'm extremely pleased with the achievements of our team during 2025 as we advance our ambitious growth strategy, driven by our eAArly DETECT 2 study and continued progress in our pancreatic cancer screening program," commented Guido Baechler, CEO of Mainz Biomed. "Looking ahead to the first half of 2026, we expect to complete our eAArly DETECT 2 feasibility study, which will be the launching point for our ReconAAsense US FDA pivotal colorectal cancer study in 2026, and to announce our next steps in advancing our blood-based screening test for the early detection of pancreatic cancer."
