M/I Homes Approves $250M Share Repurchase
M/I Homes announced that its Board of Directors approved a share repurchase authorization, pursuant to which the company may purchase up to $250M of its common shares. The $250M authorization replaces the company's prior authorization.

Reports Q1 revenue $921M, consensus $921.7M. Reports Q1 new contracts increased 3% to 2,350 and homes delivered decreased 3% to 1,914. Robert Schottenstein, CEO and President, commented, "In the face of challenging market conditions, we produced very solid first quarter results - led by increased new contracts, gross margins of 22%, pre-tax income of 10%, and a return on equity of 12%. We continue to believe that long-term housing demand is supported by favorable demographic trends and an undersupply of housing. We have a strong financial position with record shareholders' equity of $3.2B, cash of $767M, and no borrowings under our $900M credit facility. With a strong balance sheet, a diverse product offering, and well-located communities, we believe we are well positioned to continue delivering solid results despite all of the market uncertainty."
M/I Homes Q4 Revenue at $1.1B, Below Consensus
Reports Q4 revenue $1.1B, consensus $1.11B. Reports Q4 new contracts increased 9% to 1,921. Robert H. Schottenstein, CEO and President, commented, "2025 was a very solid year for M/I Homes. Despite the various macro-economic factors impacting new home demand, we were pleased to deliver 8,921 homes for the year, produce $527M of pretax income, generate a 12% pretax income return, as well as a 13% return on equity. We ended the year in excellent financial condition with record shareholders' equity of $3.2B, cash of $689M, zero borrowings under our $900M credit facility, a homebuilding debt to capital ratio of 18% and a net debt to capital ratio of zero."

M/I Homes announced that its Board of Directors approved a new share repurchase authorization, pursuant to which the company may purchase up to $250M of its common shares. The $250M authorization replaces the company's prior authorization which had $80M of remaining availability as of November 11, 2025.
M/I Homes announces Q3 earnings per share of $3.92, down from $5.10 a year ago.
Reports Q3 revenue $1.131B vs. $1.142B last year. Backlog units at September 30 decreased 31% to 2,189 homes, with a record average sales price of $553,000. At September 30, 2024, backlog sales value was $1.73B , with backlog units of 3,174 and an average sales price of $544,000. Robert H. Schottenstein, CEO and President, commented, "Despite the continued challenging housing market conditions and uneven demand environment, we had a solid quarter. We produced $140M of pre-tax income representing 12% of revenue and delivered a Q3 record 2,296 homes. This resulted in a strong return on equity of 16%. While market conditions remain volatile, we are confident in the long-term fundamentals of the housing industry. Our financial position is excellent, highlighted by Moody's upgrade of our credit rating and the extension of our unsecured credit facility to 2030, with an increased borrowing capacity from $650M to $900M. We ended the quarter with zero borrowings under this facility, a homebuilding debt-to-capital ratio of 18%, and a net debt-to-capital ratio of negative 1%. With our strong balance sheet, diverse product offerings, and well-located communities, we are well positioned as we enter the Q4."
