Globant Appoints Fernando Matzkin as COO
Globant announced the appointment of Fernando Matzkin as COO. In his new role, Matzkin will help accelerate the company's Vision 2030 and strengthen Globant's position for the future as it evolves its offerings and operations for the AI-native services era, with Glob.AI and AI Pods at the center of it. Fernando has spent 17 years at Globant and most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer. Throughout his tenure, he has been key in driving the company's expansion, including serving as Chief Business Officer for the United States and Europe.
Globant Appoints Fernando Matzkin as Chief Operating Officer
On August 20, 2026, Globant S.A. appointed Fernando Matzkin as its Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Matzkin served as the Company's Chief Revenue Officer from July 2025 through the date of his appointment as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Matzkin joined the Company in 2009 and has served in various roles of increasing responsibility, including as Chief Business Officer and General Manager for Europe from 2022 to July 2025; Chief Business Officer for North America from 2020 to 2022; and General Manager for the U.S. East Region from 2019 to 2020. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Matzkin held various positions at Volkswagen Argentina, Telefonica de Argentina, Oracle, Disco Ahold and Soft Office. Mr. Matzkin holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, both from the University of Buenos Aires.

S&P 500 Rises as Oil Prices Fall
The major averages closed broadly higher as oil prices fell and investors digested softer-than-feared inflation data and another slate of corporate earnings reports. Communication services was the best-performing sector in the benchmark index, bolstered by 5% gains out of Netflixas well as strong performance by Telecom Services names. Basic Materials names underperformed however as metals prices continued their range-bound trading in spite of benign inflation data this week.The Fed outlook has become somewhat more favorable for equities following the inflation data and the weak July employment report. Meanwhile, oil prices were down as concerns over global demand and rising U.S. crude inventories offset continued geopolitical risks surrounding Iran and the Strait of Hormuz.In the opening hour of the evening session, S&P 500 e-Minis, Dow Industrials, and Nasdaq 100 futures are trading flat.
