BP Awards Emerson Multi-Million Dollar Contract
BP (BP) has awarded Emerson (EMR) a multi-million-dollar contract to deliver automation technologies for the Shah Deniz Compression project off the coast of Azerbaijan. This builds on a long-standing collaboration between the two companies, with Emerson previously serving as the main automation contractor for the Azeri Central East and Shah Deniz Stage 2 developments. Under the new contract, Emerson will provide integrated control and safety systems to enhance production, safety and reliability on the new offshore compression platform. The $2.9B Shah Deniz Compression project, which includes an electrically powered, normally unattended offshore production platform, represents the next stage in developing the Shah Deniz field in the Caspian Sea. Designed to access low-pressure gas reserves and maximize overall recovery, the platform will be equipped with four 11MW compressors and serve as the central compression hub for gas from the Shah Deniz Alpha and Bravo platforms. The facility will operate remotely from BP's onshore Sangachal terminal, located 55 km south of Baku.
Emerson Appoints Rudy Sengupta as Chief Technology and AI Officer
Emerson announced that Rudy Sengupta, Vice President and General Manager of Test and Analytics Software at Emerson Test & Measurement, has been appointed Senior Vice President, Chief Technology and AI Officer, effective August 15, 2026. In this role, Sengupta will be a member of Emerson's Office of the Chief Executive and shape the Company's technology and AI strategy across Emerson's leading portfolio of industrial software, control and intelligent devices. He succeeds Peter Zornio, who will retire December 31, 2026 after two decades with Emerson.
Emerson Partners with Aramco to Develop Corrosion Management Solutions
Emerson announced it will co-develop corrosion management solutions for the Saudi Arabian Oil Company, or Aramco. As part of the corrosion research and development collaboration, Aramco will combine its expertise and intellectual property with Emerson's advanced corrosion solutions to digitalize corrosion management. Emerson will provide its ultrasonic online corrosion monitoring technology; wireless connectivity for corrosion wall thickness monitors, and continuous data collection to develop a fit-for-purpose corrosion management solution for Aramco processes.

Inspire Brands expects to use the net proceeds of the proposed offering to repay outstanding indebtedness under its existing term loan facility and pay offering fees and expenses.Csquare– The data center company filed confidentially for a U.S. initial public offering, a signal that more data center companies are lining up to sell shares for the first time over the coming year, Bloomberg's Bailey Lipschultz. The provider of colocation and data center services announced on Friday that it had submitted a draft registration statement on Form S-1 to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The Brookfield Infrastructure Partners-backed company joins a rush of new listings as the companies building out the backbone to support AI's energy needs seek to raise funds, the author notes.Tarsier Pharma Ltd.– The company filed for an initial public offering of its ordinary shares and applied to list its ordinary shares on the NYSE American under the symbol "TARX."
