Pay-TV: Net pay-TV subscribers decreased approximately 241,000 in the second quarter of 2026, compared to a decrease of approximately 261,000 in the year-ago quarter. The company closed the quarter with 6.39M pay-TV subscribers, including 4.68M DISH TV subscribers and 1.71M Sling TV subscribers. Retail Wireless: Retail wireless subscribers decreased by approximately 118,000 in the second quarter of 2026, compared to an increase of 212,000 in the year-ago quarter. The company closed the quarter with 7.38M wireless subscribers. Broadband and Satellite Services: Broadband subscribers decreased by approximately 59,000 in the second quarter of 2026, compared to a decrease of 34,000 in the year-ago quarter. AT&T Closes $23B Acquisition of EchoStar Wireless Spectrum Licenses
AT&T (T) has closed its previously announced transaction to acquire certain wireless spectrum licenses from EchoStar (ECHO) for approximately $23B. The acquired spectrum covers virtually every market across the U.S., adding approximately 30 MHz of nationwide 3.45 GHz mid-band spectrum and approximately 20 MHz of nationwide 600 MHz low-band spectrum to AT&T's portfolio. The added spectrum enables AT&T to boost its 5G capacity and download speeds while helping the Company deliver an AI-ready connected experience as it engineers the spectrum to enhance the superior uplink capabilities of its wireless network. AT&T reiterates the financial outlook and capital allocation plan provided with its second-quarter 2026 earnings release.
