Choice Hotels' Chief HR Officer Patrick Cimerola to Retire at End of 2026
Choice Hotels' Chief Human Resources Officer Patrick Cimerola will retire from Choice Hotels at the end of 2026 after a 25-year career with the company. The company will conduct a comprehensive executive search for Cimerola's successor. He will continue serving as Chief Human Resources Officer through December 2026 and will then serve as a special advisor to the company to help ensure a seamless leadership transition.
Choice Hotels Acquires Harvest Hosts for Approximately $130M
Choice Hotels International announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire Harvest Hosts, a community-oriented RV travel membership company, extending Choice Hotels' long-standing focus on serving value-conscious travelers into the outdoor travel market. Choice Hotels is acquiring 100% of Harvest Hosts from Stripes, a New York-based growth equity firm and other shareholders. Harvest Hosts will continue to operate as a standalone business under its existing brand, preserving its distinct member and host experience and the relationships that have built its community. Choice Hotels is acquiring 100% of Harvest Hosts from Stripes and other shareholders in an all-cash transaction at an enterprise value of approximately $130M. The transaction will be funded with cash on hand and borrowings under Choice Hotels' existing revolving credit facility. The transaction is not expected to have a material impact on Choice Hotels' 2026 financial results. The acquisition does not change Choice's previously communicated 2026 share repurchase expectations. Joel Holland will continue to lead Harvest Hosts as CEO, alongside the company's existing leadership team. The full Harvest Hosts team will become Choice Hotels employees upon close. The transaction is expected to close on October 1, subject to customary closing conditions. Jefferies is serving as exclusive financial advisor to Harvest Hosts, and Weil, Gotshal & Manges is serving as legal counsel. Choice Hotels International was advised by ArentFox Schiff.
Choice Hotels Appoints Dominic Dragisich as CEO
Choice Hotels International announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Dominic Dragisich as President and Chief Executive Officer and to the Board of Directors, effective August 31, 2026. Dragisich has served as Interim Chief Executive Officer since May 20, 2026.
Choice Hotels Appoints CVS Executive Ali Keshavarz to Board
Choice Hotels International (CHH) announced the appointment of Ali Keshavarz, President and Chief Data & Analytics Officer of CVS Health (CVS), to its Board of Directors. "Ali is a highly accomplished leader whose experience and expertise in artificial intelligence will further strengthen our Board as we advance Choice Hotels International's long-term growth strategy and continue creating value for our franchise owners, guests, and shareholders," said Stewart Bainum Jr., chairman of the Choice Hotels International Board of Directors.
