Cameco and Brookfield Submit Westinghouse IPO Registration Statement
Cameco (CCJ) announced that Westinghouse Electric Company, which is owned jointly by Cameco and Brookfield Renewable Partners (BEP), has confidentially submitted a draft registration statement on Form S-1 with the SEC relating to the proposed initial public offering of its common stock. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the proposed offering have not yet been determined, and the proposed offering will be subject to market and other conditions.
Cameco Resumes Production at Cigar Lake Mine
Cameco announced our Cigar Lake mine in northern Saskatchewan has resumed production activities following a temporary suspension due to challenges at Orano's McClean Lake mill, where Cigar Lake ore is processed. The McClean Lake mill has now resumed operations. Cigar Lake has begun shipping stockpiled ore to the mill and has restarted production at the mine. The 2026 production outlook range for Cigar Lake has not been impacted by the temporary suspension of production.

Cameco Completes Acquisition of 5% Stake in TEPCO Resources
Cameco announced that the acquisition of TEPCO Resources Inc.'s 5% participating interest in the Cigar Lake Joint Venture by Cameco and Orano Canada has closed. Cameco's ownership stake in the Cigar Lake uranium mine in northern Saskatchewan has now increased by 2.871 percentage points to 57.418%, while Orano's share has risen by 2.129 percentage points to 42.582%.
