BW LPG India Sells BW Birch Expected to Gain $37M

BW LPG Limited announced that its 52%-owned subsidiary, BW LPG India, has entered into an agreement to sell the 2007-built BW Birch for continued trading. On a 100% basis, the sale of BW Birch is expected to generate a net book gain of approximately $37M and net cash proceeds of around $64M. The vessel is currently trading under a time charter agreement and is scheduled for delivery to the buyer by mid-November at the latest. Kristian Sorensen, CEO of BW LPG, says "This transaction, at a value equivalent to a newbuilding price of approximately $248M and in line with the recently announced sale of BW Elm, reflects our continued execution of our fleet renewal program and our ability to capitalize on strong second-hand market values."

BW LPG Sells BW Levant, Expected Gain of $17M

BW LPG announced the sale of the 2015-built BW Levant, acquired in the 2024 Avance Gas transaction. The sale of BW Levant is expected to generate a net book gain of approximately $17M and net cash proceeds of around $38M. The vessel is scheduled for delivery to the buyer at the latest by mid-November.

BW LPG Signs Three-Year Charter Contracts

BW LPG announced that it has entered into three-year time charter-out contracts for two of its VLGCs, BW Tucana and BW Yushi. The period charters commenced in January 2026, increasing the fixed-rate time charter-out coverage to approximately 35% of the fleet capacity with an average rate of about USD 43,500 per day for 2026. Due to ongoing negotiations regarding the renewal of current time charters, the coverage level and average hire rates are subject to change prior to the Q4 2025 earnings release.
