Babcock & Wilcox Receives $130M Air Quality Control Project Notice
Babcock & Wilcox has received a limited notice to proceed on work for an approximately $130M air quality control project for a U.S. coal-fired power plant. Under the LNTP, B&W will commence development, engineering and long-lead procurement activities for the project, which is intended to help support continued reliable power generation while helping the facility achieve its emissions reduction goals. It is expected that B&W's subsidiary, Babcock & Wilcox Construction Co. will execute the construction and installation portion of the project scope.
Stock Futures Modestly Higher as Investors Await CPI Report
Stock futures are modestly higher as investors look ahead to Wednesday's July consumer-price report, while developments surrounding the Strait of Hormuz continue to drive oil and inflation expectations. Progress in talks between Iran and Oman over maritime activity has helped pull oil prices lower after Brent briefly approached $90 a barrel amid the latest U.S.-Iran tensions.The July CPI report is a catalyst this week, with economists surveyed by Reuters expecting headline inflation to rise 3.4% year over year and core CPI to increase 2.5%. The report will be particularly important following last week's unexpectedly weak July jobs report, which showed payrolls falling by 23,000 and prompted markets to sharply reduce expectations for a September Fed rate hike. A hotter-than-expected CPI reading could push those expectations back in the opposite direction.The market is also continuing to digest a strong earnings season and the durability of the AI investment cycle. Babcock & Wilcox Signs Agreement with Siemens Energy for 1 GW Steam Turbine Project
Babcock & Wilcox (BW) has signed an agreement with Siemens Energy (SMEGF) to commence work on 20 Siemens Energy steam turbine generator sets totaling 1 GW of generating capacity for use in its FastPower program for data center projects. This agreement is in addition to B&W's previous turbine order.

B&W Reports Q2 Revenue of $319.7M Exceeding Expectations
Reports Q2 revenue $319.7M, consensus $196.97M. "During the second quarter of 2026, we delivered strong operating results while displaying continued core business momentum, as second quarter revenue, net income and Adjusted EBITDA exceeded Company and consensus street expectations. The growing need for reliable electricity from AI data centers, utilities, industrial customers and expanding economies is accelerating investment in power generation capacity, driving strong demand for our core parts and services, environmental technologies as well as coal and natural gas-fired generation solutions," commented Kenneth Young, B&W's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
