Horizon Quantum Completes Business Combination with dMY Squared, Raises Approximately $120M

Horizon Quantum (HQ) announced that it has completed its previously announced business combination with dMY Squared Technology (DMYY). The business combination was approved by dMY's shareholders at dMY's special meeting held on March 17. On March 20, the combined company's Class A ordinary shares will begin trading on Nasdaq under the ticker (HQ). The closing of the business combination provides Horizon Quantum with gross proceeds of approximately $120M, before transaction expenses, which the company plans to use to accelerate its investments in research and development, strengthen its hardware testbed, and further advance its integrated development environment Triple Alpha.

Horizon Quantum to Become Public via Merger with dMY Squared Technology

Horizon Quantum and dMY Squared Technology (DMYY), announced that they have entered into a definitive business combination agreement. When the transaction closes, the publicly traded company will be named Horizon Quantum and its Class A ordinary shares are expected to be listed on Nasdaq under the ticker (HQ). The transaction has been unanimously approved by the board of directors of dMY Squared, as well as the board of directors of Horizon Quantum, and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including the approval of the shareholders of both dMY Squared and Horizon Quantum.

Horizon Quantum to go public through dMY Squared Technology combination

Horizon Quantum and dMY Squared Technology, jointly announced today that they have entered into a non-binding letter of intent for a business combination. The combined company is expected to be publicly listed. The combined company will be led by Horizon Quantum's current management team, with Fitzsimons serving as CEO. He co-invented universal blind quantum computing, a technology for securing cloud-based quantum systems, and founded Horizon Quantum after a tenured professorship in Singapore. Under the terms of the LOI, the pre-money equity value of Horizon Quantum in the transaction is approximately $500M. The parties will announce additional details regarding the proposed business combination when a definitive agreement is executed, which is expected to occur in the second quarter of this year, with a closing anticipated before year end.
