Northern Trust Expands Partnership with First Sentier, Becomes $14B Fund Administrator
Northern Trust announced it has expanded its relationship with First Sentier Group, having been appointed fund administrator and depositary for First Sentier Group's Irish fund, the First Sentier Investors Global Umbrella Fund. Northern Trust will provide custody, depositary, fund accounting and transfer agency for the $14B Irish fund structure. Meliosa O'Caoimh, Ireland Country Head at Northern Trust, said: "Our continued work with First Sentier Group reflects the importance of consistent support across jurisdictions as clients expand their fund ranges. In Ireland, we combine local expertise with a global operating model, helping clients manage complexity while maintaining flexibility across structures, markets and investor requirements."
Northern Trust Partners with Lukka to Enhance Digital Asset Reporting
Northern Trust entered into an agreement with Lukka to deliver an institutional-grade digital asset reporting capability, expanding Northern Trust's service offering to include enhanced access to digital asset data. Founded to address complex financial challenges in the digital asset market, Lukka provides institutional-grade digital asset data infrastructure, software, and analytics designed to help organizations ingest, normalize, reconcile, and report on complex on- and off-chain activity. The firm's platform supports institutional use cases across digital asset data management, reporting, valuation, compliance, and risk workflows. The new capability provides clients with enhanced reporting on digital asset data, including transaction history and point-in-time balances with historical views. The service is designed to address the growing need for reliable, scalable reporting as institutional participation in digital assets accelerates.
Northern Trust Launches U.S. ETF Servicing Platform
Northern Trust announced the launch of its U.S. exchange-traded fund servicing platform, beginning with its appointment by Harding Loevner to provide ETF servicing solutions for its first U.S. ETF, the International Developed Markets Select Equity ETF. "ETFs continue to benefit from powerful structural tailwinds that are driving broader investor adoption and sustained industry growth, and our clients are increasingly looking for a single, strategic partner to deliver services across both mutual funds and ETFs as those worlds converge," said Ryan Burns, Head of Global Fund Services, Americas at Northern Trust Asset Servicing. "This new capability is a natural extension of the full suite of asset servicing solutions Northern Trust provides to asset managers and positions us to help clients advance their evolving product strategies."

Northern Trust announced it has been selected to provide certain fund administration and other related services to Dawson Partners. Dawson Partners is a global alternative asset manager focused on delivering structured solutions to private markets.
Northern Trust Reports Q2 Revenue of $2.71B
Reports revenue $2.71B, consensus $2.55B. "Northern Trust delivered another quarter of strong performance reflecting disciplined execution of our One Northern Trust strategy amid a constructive operating environment. Excluding notable items in the period, earnings per share increased 40%. Revenue increased 13% versus last year, supported by robust fee growth, healthy capital markets activity, and double-digit net interest income growth. Our progress against our strategic priorities helped drive an eighth consecutive quarter of positive organic trust-fee growth. Expenses were well controlled, and the Corporation generated more than 700 basis points of operating leverage for the second consecutive quarter. The Corporation returned over $1 billion of capital to shareholders in the first half of the year and its Board of Directors approved a $0.08 or 10% increase to the quarterly dividend at its meeting on July 21st, 2026. We remain focused on supporting our clients, advancing our strategic priorities, and delivering long-term value to our shareholders through sustainable financial performance across market environments as we enter the second half of the year," said CEO Michael O'Grady.
