Verra Mobility and Hertz Renew Contract, Explore New Technology Solutions
Verra Mobility (VRRM) and The Hertz Corporation (HTZ), on behalf of its Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty brands, shared additional details regarding their recent contract renewal, including plans to explore new technology solutions that build on their long-standing tolling and violations management partnership. The parties announced during quarterly earnings the renewed agreement extending their 20-year partnership. In the expanded agreement, the companies will explore new technology solutions to further improve Hertz's customer experience. Verra Mobility will also continue to provide Hertz with a fully outsourced toll and violations management program, helping improve administrative efficiency while giving renters a more convenient, frictionless experience on cashless and all-electronic tolling networks across North America.

Federal Reserve Holds Rates Steady, Major Indices Drop Significantly
The major averages had a significantly lower finish after the Federal Reserve maintained interest rates. The central bank left the federal funds rate unchanged at 3.50%-3.75%, though three Fed members voted to raise rates by a quarter point. Commenting on the news, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh said that FOMC discussions were "collegial and constructive," adding that inflation issues "cannot be cured in nine weeks."
