Louisiana Awards Motorola Solutions $139M Contract

Louisiana has awarded Motorola Solutions a $139M 10-year contract for mobile video, digital evidence management systems and command center technology, while enhancing the state's land mobile radio network. The initiative transitions state agencies to the company's body cameras, in-car video and real-time situational awareness software to improve statewide public safety response.

Motorola Solutions Increases Share Repurchase Program to $2B

Motorola Solutions announced that its board of directors has approved a $2B increase to the share repurchase program, raising the total authorization since July 2011 to $20B, with no expiration date for the program. Under the company's previously authorized $18B share repurchase program, approximately $0.6B in repurchase authority remained at the end of the second quarter of 2026. The company may continue to repurchase shares from time to time in the open market or in other privately negotiated transactions, subject to market conditions.

Motorola Acquires D-Fend Solutions for $1.5B

Motorola Solutions has completed the acquisition of D-Fend Solutions for a purchase price of $1.5B. This deal provides public safety and enterprise customers with access to advanced counter-unmanned aerial systems designed to safely neutralize rogue drone threats. Motorola Solutions plans to integrate D-Fend's technology into its public safety ecosystem to deliver comprehensive air-to-ground security. This vision is designed to equip front-line teams with situational awareness, while enabling operators to evaluate risks and, where permitted, safely mitigate unauthorized drones. Zohar Halachmi will continue as CEO of D-Fend Solutions and will lead Motorola Solutions' counter-drone platform as senior vice president, Counter-Drone Solutions.
