edinet-mcp is a CLI-driven Skill for retrieving and analyzing Japanese public company financial statements from EDINET (金融庁). It discovers companies by name or 証券コード, extracts XBRL-based income statements (PL), balance sheets (BS), and cash flow statements (CF), and normalizes 161 labels across J-GAAP, IFRS, and US-GAAP to enable cross-standard comparisons. Key features include company search, period-to-period XBRL diff, multi-company screening and sorting by metrics (ROE, profit margins, etc.), and output in JSON or CSV for downstream analysis. Typical use cases are investor screening, financial analyst modeling, accounting reviews, and research into trends or cash-flow patterns. EDINET: Japanese Financial Statement Analysis

Important

The -p (period) parameter is the filing year, not the fiscal year. March-end companies file in June of the next year: FY2023 data → -p 2024.
161 normalized labels across J-GAAP / IFRS / US-GAAP.
Results include 当期 (current) and 前期 (prior) periods.
Rate-limited to 0.5 req/sec by default. Screening 10 companies takes ~1-2 minutes.
Maximum 20 companies per screen request.
