TC Biopharm reports first patient remission in Cohort B after TCB008 treatment
TC BioPharm announced the first patient treated in Cohort B, presenting with detectable Minimal Residual Disease, or MRD, is now in complete molecular remission following treatment with the lead drug candidate TCB008. The response was achieved after the patient's second dose of 250,000,000 gamma delta t-cells, two weeks after treatment began, in total the patient received approximately 500,000,000 gamma delta t-cells over two weeks. The patient received 2 of a possible 4 infusions of TCB008 and continues to be monitored under the care of Dr. Hugues de Lavallade at Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and remains in remission state two months after treatment. This data readout represents a major milestone in TC BioPharm's mission to develop innovative cell therapies that target and eradicate malignant cells with precision and durability. Over 1 million patients are diagnosed with blood cancers globally each year. Patients who initially achieve remission can retain a molecular burden of disease that results in relapse. Multiple factors, including previous treatments, limit treatment options for relapsed patients.

TC Biopharm launches cost reduction initiatives
TC BioPharm announced initiatives to outsource several functions, moving to a more decentralized model, resulting in reduction in its workforce. The initiatives focus on moving to a CDMO model for production to accommodate larger production demand for future clinical trials, allowing TCB to review alternatives for new manufacturing facilities incorporating newly developed automated and other cell therapy production technologies. Additionally, the company is reviewing alternative approaches for testing and clinical needs, which align with a decentralized drug development model. This approach is expected to result in a workforce reduction of approximately 20 employees, focused largely within the company's production and quality divisions and represents approximately half of the company's total headcount. Separations will be substantially complete by the end of Q2 and are expected to reduce the core operational burn rate by approximately 55% compared to 2024. As a result of these steps, when compared to 2024, the company estimates partial year 2025 savings to be approximately $2.1M and annualized savings to be roughly $4.2M.
TC Biopharm executes non-binding LoI to acquire pharmaceutical company
TC BioPharm announced the execution of a non-binding letter of intent to acquire a commercial-stage ophthalmic pharmaceutical company focused on commercializing novel therapies for decreasing intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma and ocular hypertension. The acquisition candidate has an FDA-approved once-per-day drop to decrease intraocular pressure, a pipeline of development stage assets in ophthalmology indications, and is led by a seasoned management team. Currently, the approved product is being shipped to 300 physicians for a three-month treatment sample. A commercial launch will follow in the coming months, generating meaningful revenue in 2025. Under the terms and conditions of the agreement, TC BioPharm will acquire 100% of the Company via an all-stock transaction. The purchase is part of TC BioPharm's M&A strategy to expand its therapeutic platform into new indications and bring in later-stage assets that provide near-term value accretion and inflection points. The potential subsidiary's lead therapeutic is a prescription eye drop used to treat glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
