Raises FY25 gross profit margin view to 62.5% from 60.5%-61%. Raises FY25 adjusted EBITDA margin view to above 18% from 17%-17.5%. Qudian's Board Approves Rebranding to High Templar Tech and New Stock Symbol
Qudian announced that the company's board of directors resolved to change the company's English name to High Templar Tech, subject to shareholder approval being received for the English name change and ticker symbol to (HTT). Pursuant to the company's second amended and restated articles of association, the English name change needs to be adopted by a special resolution at a general meeting of shareholders. For the purpose of seeking such shareholder approval, the board also resolved to call an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to consider the English name change. The EGM will be held at Building 1, Qudian Innovation Park, Meilin Street, Tongan District, Xiamen, Fujian Province, China on December 10 at 10:00 a.m., local time.
Qudian contemplating winding down last-mile delivery business
The company said, "In December 2022, the Company launched its last-mile delivery services under the brand name of "Fast Horse" to capitalize on the logistics demand for cross-border e-commerce transactions. The business was initially launched on a trial basis and has gradually achieved meaningful scale in Australia during the second quarter of 2023. As of the date of this release, the Company's last-mile delivery service is encountering intense competition and uncertainty. After assessing current market conditions, the Company is contemplating winding down its last-mile delivery business. The Company intends to continue exploring innovative business opportunities to satisfy consumers' demand by leveraging its technology capabilities."

Reports Q1 revenue RMB 25.79M vs. RMB 55.85M last year. The company said, "The Company's last-mile delivery business continued to face intense competition in the first quarter of 2025, resulting in a substantial decline in revenue to approximately RMB 23.8 million in the first quarter of 2025, compared to RMB 53.8 million for the same period of last year. After assessing current market conditions, the Company is contemplating winding down its last-mile delivery business. Moving forward, the Company expects to remain steadfast in its commitment to executing its business transition and simultaneously maintaining prudent cash management to safeguard its balance sheet."
Qudian announces change of auditor
Qudian announced the appointment of BDO China Shu Lun Pan Certified Public Accountants as the company's independent registered public accounting firm, effective on September 6. BDO succeeds Ernst & Young Hua Ming, which previously was the independent auditor providing audit services to the company. The change of the company's independent auditor was made after careful consideration and was approved by the audit committee and the board of directors of the company. The company said the decision to change auditor was not as a result of any disagreement between the company and EY on any matter of accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosure, or auditing scope or procedures.
