Mogo initiates process to get crypto regulatory approval in Canada
Mogo (MOGO) announced it is moving forward with plans to seek regulatory approval to offer crypto trading on its platform in Canada. Mogo announces WonderFi shareholder approval of Robinhood acquisition proposal

On July 17, WonderFi announced that its securityholders voted in favor of the proposed acquisition at a special meeting of securityholders. Mogo is WonderFi's largest shareholder, holding approximately 82M common shares of the company.
Mogo announces $50M Bitcoin treasury authorization
Mogo announced that its board of directors has authorized the allocation of up to $50M to Bitcoin. Following the anticipated close of the WonderFi-Robinhood transaction in the second half of 2025, Mogo expects to hold approximately $50M in cash and investments. The company's Board has approved a Bitcoin allocation of up to $50M, to be funded by excess cash on the balance sheet and, over time, through additional monetizations from its investment portfolio, including investments in US-based crypto exchange, Gemini, and Canadian technology company, Hootsuite. The company has an initial goal to scale to a $50M investment in Bitcoin based on staged investments over time, while keeping adequate working capital for the operating business.
