NextBoat Rebrands and Changes Ticker to NXB
NextBoat announced that its corporate rebrand and ticker symbol change to "NXB" have officially become effective on the NYSE American. The transition to NextBoat reflects the Company's evolution from a traditional yacht brokerage business into a technology-driven platform focused on modernizing the fragmented pre-owned boat market through artificial intelligence, automation, financing, logistics, and data infrastructure. The Company said Off The Hook Yachts will continue operating as a core division of NextBoat, serving as a key driver of inventory acquisition, brokerage transactions, wholesale distribution, and marketplace liquidity.
Off The Hook YS Rebrands to NextBoat Inc.
Off The Hook YS announced that it will officially rebrand as NextBoat Inc. and change its ticker symbol from "OTH" to "NXB" on the NYSE American, effective on or about May 29, 2026. The rebrand reflects the Company's evolution from a traditional yacht brokerage business into an AI-powered technology platform designed to modernize and scale the global pre-owned marine marketplace. While Off The Hook Yachts was the foundation of the Company, management believes the name no longer reflects the scale, technology, or long-term vision of the business. "Off The Hook Yachts was where we started, but NextBoat represents where we are going," said Brian John, CEO. "We are building a technology platform that empowers brokers, dealers, resellers, and marine entrepreneurs to buy and sell boats more efficiently through artificial intelligence, automation, and data-driven infrastructure." Importantly, Off The Hook Yachts will continue operating as a core division under NextBoat, focused primarily on B2B dealer transactions and inventory liquidation, allowing dealers to wholesale trade-ins and aged inventory through the platform.
Off The Hook Acquires Strategic Waterfront Property on Chesapeake Bay
Off The Hook YS announced the acquisition of a strategic waterfront property on the Chesapeake Bay, one of the most active boating corridors in the United States. The acquisition will serve as the Company's new Mid-Atlantic operational hub in a high-density marine market while expanding capabilities for inventory reconditioning, storage, financing, and asset recovery. A major component of the acquisition is the site's extensive storage capacity. The property can accommodate up to 150 boats, allowing Off the Hook to house a large portion of its regional inventory on site. Previously, the Company relied on third-party storage at an average cost of approximately $500 per boat per month, a recurring expense that will now be largely eliminated through ownership of the property. Off the Hook plans to staff the facility with 15-20 yacht brokers focused on sourcing inventory, managing brokerage and consignment listings, and facilitating transactions. The site will also serve as a regional logistics center, supporting efficient inventory movement and transaction execution. The Piney Narrows facility is expected to begin operating as Off the Hook's primary Maryland hub in the coming months.
Off The Hook YS Signs Agreement to Acquire APEX
Off The Hook YS announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire APEX, a premier South Florida marine service, storage, and sales organization. The acquisition is expected to close in 60 days pending customary due diligence. The transaction delivers four strategically located South Florida facilities, a highly skilled full-service team, and infrastructure capable of transforming Off The Hook's operational efficiency, refurbishment capacity, and global sales reach.
Off The Hook Announces Strategic Partnership with Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales
Off The Hook YS announced a strategic partnership with Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales, a Michigan-based yacht brokerage with more than 50 years of operating history and nine locations across the Great Lakes and Florida. Under the agreement, Off The Hook receives a right of first refusal on 100% of JBYS yacht trades, creating a high-velocity pipeline for used boats while gaining immediate access to key Great Lakes markets. The partnership enables rapid regional expansion without requiring Off The Hook to build or staff traditional brick-and-mortar dealership locations.
