Rocket Companies completes purchase of Mr. Cooper
Rocket Companies (RKT) announced the completed acquisition of Mr. Cooper Group (COOP), bringing together the country's largest home loan originator and the largest mortgage servicer. Together, the companies will have a combined servicing portfolio of nearly 10 million homeowners. As part of the acquisition, Mr. Cooper and all of its servicing functions will be rebranded under the Rocket umbrella.
Mr. Cooper Shareholders Give Green Light to Merger with Rocket Companies
Mr. Cooper Group (COOP) announced that at a special meeting of Company stockholders held earlier , its stockholders voted to adopt the Company's merger agreement with Rocket Companies (RKT). As previously announced, under the terms of the merger agreement, Mr. Cooper stockholders are entitled to receive 11 shares of Rocket Class A common stock for each share of Mr. Cooper common stock. Additionally, Mr. Cooper may declare and pay a dividend of $2.00 per share of Mr. Cooper common stock prior to the effective time of the transaction.

Reports Q2 revenue $608M, consensus $669.54M. Reports Q2 tangible book value per share $75.90. Chairman and CEO Jay Bray commented, "This was another strong quarter, marked by consistent, recurring, and predictable performance, along with higher returns. Our Company is firing on all cylinders and gaining momentum as we move closer to joining forces with Rocket."

Reports Q1 revenue $560M vs. $654M last year.
